Yay! It's almost Christmas time! Gale's had us all dressed up since Thanksgiving, though I'm worried about Samantha's dress. I don't want it to stain her...I heard Gale say that she's probably going to change us all into our PJ's before she leaves on the 23rd. She's going to spend Christmas and New Year's with her fiance in Ohio. Oh, and we're getting a new sister, too! Her name's Martha Riley Dumbledore, but everybody calls her Marty. She's older than all of us-she's 17! She's going to be a Teacher's Aide at Hogwarts, where Ginny goes to school. Marty's more than likely going to Ohio with Gale, as she usually takes one of us along with her when she visits Adam. She's only ever taken me, Mia, Rachel, and Ginny, though, because Sam, Nellie, Kirsten and Kit are all Historicals, and unreplaceable, to boot. (Firefox is saying that's not a word...I guess it isn't, or wasn't. It is now!) Nicki's never gone because her hair gets messed up easily, and Ruthie won't go anywhere without Kit. Gale likes taking us with her because Adam and all his friends think we're "creepy"! I don't think I'm creepy... :( Adam's mom likes to see the clothes Gale makes for us, so that's probably the biggest reason she takes us.
Speaking of making things, Gale says that I should tell all my readers that after she comes back in January, she's going to start making quilts with the old patches her mom bought and try to sell them on the message boards. (She says this is a pitiful attempt at product placement. ;) ) They're going to be hand-tied and bound, and she has yet to decide on pricing, but I'll let you know when she puts them up.
Gale says she has a surprise for us for Christmas. I hope it's that new purple dress in the AG catalog. It's so pretty! We won't know what it is until she comes back. I don't think...
Gale's story is coming along nicely. She's decided that she needs to write down everything-descriptions of places and things, the people's personalities, and other stuff like that. She's keeping the first chapters that she's already written, but she says that this is going to make the rest of the writing process easier. She's also decided that she's not going to put anymore of it up online, in case she wants to publish it one day. She doesn't want somebody "ripping off her idea" (her words). She said she's going to finish it, put a copy of it in an envelope, and mail it to herself. She hasn't said why, though, and I don't understand. If she wants to publish it, shouldn't she mail it to a publisher? Sometimes I don't understand my human.
Ok, I guess that's all I have to say for now. I'll post pictures of whatever Gale's surprise is after the new year.
